Frank "Superfly" Lucas is a former drug trafficker who controlled the heroin market in Harlem during the late 1960s and early 70s. His criminal career is the subject of the movie "American Gangster", in which Denzel Washington portrayed him.

This modest home is nothing like the huge mansion in the movie, but I guess that’s how Hollywood rolls. The 1,532 sqft property was his family home for many years, although he kept several apartments in NYC. Here he hosted celebrities like Aretha Franklin, and played pickup games with NY Knicks players. In 1975, the house was raided by the DEA which marked the end of Lucas’ reign.

In 2000, millionaires, John and Ann Bender followed their dreams and moved to the Costa Rican jungle into the Talamanca Mountains . Once there they built an animal refuge and their dream home. The home, Boracayán, was an empty glass, 50,000 square foot granite and concrete structure surrounded by a moat and 9.5 miles of rainforest. The Benders lived among the sloths, monkeys and parrots, acting on their dreams.

On January 8 , 2010, authorities were called in and found John dead with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. This is just the beginning... guns and precious stones worth millions were found... both suffered mental illness... What happened? In January 2013 Ann was tried and acquitted for her husbands murder. The court found the prosecution lacking and the case was reopened. On May 28th, 2014, Ann was convicted and sentenced to 22 years in prison.

The identical twin brothers, who star in the reality TV shows "Property Brothers" and "Brother vs Brother", purchased this 4,100 sqft Vegas home in 2011 for about $400K. They completely renovated the home and the outside (built a pool etc.), and live here together now. While this is not an investment property, it is said that the twins don't spend much time here as they're constantly on the road working and filming.

I added a gallery in the link section.
